“Truly an exceptional experience! A first class operation! Thanks to the staff members who make it all happen, especially behind the scenes. Noteworthy to mention is Kevin for the Bike to the Border, Kai for the Gorge Tour and Jean for the Munich and Castle tours. Kudos to the staff in the Market Station and the housekeepers as well. Thank you!”

Eligibility and Qualifications
To be considered for positions with the Edelweiss Lodge and Resort, applicants must be US citizens, have a valid US passport, and be 18 years or older. Applicants must also have one-year post high school experience in the service industry or one year of post high school education. All applicants must pass a background check with no derogatory information.
How and When to Apply
Edelweiss Lodge and Resort recruits in the US 4 times a year.
The needs of the organization may alter the schedule slightly, but the basic structure remains the same.:
- February (for positions beginning Feb, Mar, Apr)
- May (for positions beginning in May, Jun, Jul)
- August (for positions beginning in Aug, Sep, Oct)
- November (for positions beginning in Nov, Dec, Jan)
If you are interested in employment with Edelweiss Lodge and Resort, you need to decide when you are available for employment, and submit your application and resume to our office in Europe 3-4 months in advance of your availability (See Application section). Should a recruiting cycle be posted (a pop-up box will indicate this), do not submit the application to Europe; e-mail your resume to: interview@edelweisslodgeandresort.com.
Applications will be reviewed by our Human Resources Office. If your
application/resume is considered favorably, you will be contacted for an interview. All interviews take place in the US, and a face-to-face
interview is required. Ski and Snowboard Instructors can apply at the end of the ski-season (March/April) for a position with us for the following ski-season (November/December). We will accept applications from Ski/Snowboard Instructors throughout the year, but only for the next season.
It is not possible to say in advance where we will recruit; that depends on many factors, including the applications that we receive. About 4 weeks before a recruiting cycle, the schedule will be posted on the website, listing the cities that we will visit, and the dates we will be interviewing in these cities. We will only visit those cities listed, so if you do not live in a city on the list, you will have to travel to the city closest to you. Edelweiss Lodge and Resort does not reimburse any costs involved in getting to an interview.
Pay Ranges / Working Hours
Edelweiss Lodge and Resort offers competitive wages. The average entry-level position pays $8.28 - $8.96 per hour. All US employees are paid in US dollars and are subject to federal and applicable state taxes. A regular scheduled workweek consists of 20 - 40 hours (average 32). You will be required to work shifts that may be during the morning, afternoon, evening, holidays and or double shifts at times. Your supervisor will attempt to schedule 5 working days with 2 days off as a general rule. However, we are a 24-hour operation; flexibility is a requirement.
Standard of Appearance
Edelweiss Lodge and Resort maintains the policy that all employees will dress in a manner consistent with good hygiene, safety, and professional standards established by the employee handbook. No visible tattoos, no piercings or oddly colored or styled hair. You will need your own black shoes, preferably lace-up, definitely non-slip. Shoes with colored logos, stitching, flashing heels, open-toed or open-heeled, or sporting shoes are prohibited. |
