The following is a list of jobs available at Edelweiss Lodge and Resort. While some jobs are season-oriented (ski/snowboard instruction), the positions are essentially ‘open continuous’ which means that you can apply for all positions throughout the year. Use the job titles below as the ‘Job Announcement/Title’ on the application form (you do not need an announcement number). The basic qualification for all positions at Edelweiss Lodge and Resort is one year of post high school employment in the hospitality industry, or one year’s post high school education. Some positions may require additional qualifications or experience.

Resort Hotel Attendant
This job title covers all the entry level positions that we have in the hotel, including duties in the following departments: Housekeeping; Custodial; Dishwashing; Laundry; Front Office; Hotel Customer Relations Department; F&B and Conference support staff. The appointment is for 13 months. If you are selected as a Resort Hotel Attendant, you may be assigned to work in any of the above listed departments. |

Recreation Aid
The Recreation Aid works in any of our various recreation programs: Ski School, Alpine Adventures or POiNT Wellness Club. The Recreation Aid positions are for 13 months. The largest number of Recreation Aid positions are available in the winter when the Ski School opens. Duties at the Ski School include Rental Issue, Information Desk, Reservations, Retail. After the winter, Recreation Aids can apply to stay in the Recreation Department (there are less jobs in the summer), and if successful, they would transfer to the other recreation facilities. Recreation Aids not selected for the Summer Program transfer after the winter season to Resort Hotel Attendant positions. |

Ski / Snowboard Instructor
Snow Sports Instructors are needed from December – April depending on snow conditions. This is a position has a few contract options. Snow Sports Instructors accept an 18 month appointment, covering 2 ski seasons. Edelweiss Lodge and Resort covers the flight to Europe at the beginning of the first season, and the return flight to the US at the end of the second season. Some Instructors continue to work within the organization during the summer and others return home after the first winter, and come back to Garmisch for the second season (self-funded). Full details of these options can be obtained during the interview process. To qualify for an instructor position you need PSIA Level 1 Certification or one winter season’s experience as an instructor. |

Massage Therapist/Esthetician
Positions for entry-level Massage Therapists/Estheticians are available for a period of 13 months. Our Wellness Center offers Swedish Massage with hot stones, Sport Massage, Thai Massage and also includes body wraps/scrubs. Click here for the massage brochure. A dual Massage Therapist/Esthetician (beauty, facials) is a plus. Occasionally a position for an Esthetician without massage becomes available. Positions for Massage Therapists without Esthetician qualifications are regularly available. |

Cook
Positions for cooks are available for a period of 13 months. Edelweiss Lodge and Resort offers a range of food and beverage outlets, from fine casual dining to buffets, bar menus and banquets. Cooks can expect to rotate through various dining facilities/responsibilities as they work with us. Qualifications include a Culinary Degree plus two year’s work experience as a cook. Experience can be substituted for education. |
