Linderhof Palace & Ettal Woodcarving
Linderhof Palace is the smallest of the three palaces that King Ludwig II built and lies nestled amongst the mountains in the Graswang Valley. It is the only palace he lived long enough to see completed. Tour the lavish palace to see the bedchamber, tapestry chambers, the grand hall of mirrors and the dining room with its magic table. Stroll through the ornate gardens, taking in the fountains and flowers. After the palace visit, enjoy lunch at a local restaurant and then board the bus for a short stop in the monastery village of Ettal. There will be an opportunity to purchase beers and liqueurs produced by the local Benedictine monks and to visit a local Ettaler woodcarving shop where beautiful handmade crafts are available.
