On the walk to the chocolate shop, your guide will tell you all about the history of Garmisch-Partenkirchen. Strolling along the cobblestone street, you'll take time to admire the beautiful fresco paintings adorning the buildings and learn a bit about their unique histories.
Upon arrival at Chocolaterie Amalie, the chocolatier will introduce you to the exciting world of chocolate. You will get an overview of the cultivation, production, and processing of cocoa and will not only taste whole-cream, bittersweet and white chocolate but also rarities that you have never tasted before.
Afterwards, everyone creates their own favorite chocolate which you can then take home. Both the type of chocolate and the other ingredients can be determined by everyone.
Then you will learn the secrets of chocolate production. You will see how hollow bodies are produced, filled and coated, get an overview of the most common types of chocolates and get to know the difference between artisanal and industrially manufactured chocolates. Likewise, raw materials such as nougat and marzipan are explained.
Entertaining theory and varied aromas make this seminar interesting for anyone who would like to immerse themselves in the exciting and seductive world of chocolate, far away from ordinary chocolate.
Following the seminar, there will be some free time for shopping before returning to Edelweiss.
