The Edelweiss Lodge and Resort is proud to offer programs and discounts honoring Survivors from all Services. Our Fallen Warriors have paid the ultimate sacrifice and their families deserve our respect, gratitude and the very best we can provide. The Armed Forces Recreation Centers Survivors' Family Program provides a 50% discount from the normal room rates and extends to family members and sponsored guests accompanying authorized users (up to three rooms). Please see below eligibility that must be presented at check-in confirming eligibility for the Survivors Discount Program.

Dates: Valid anytime of year

Includes: 50% off room rates. Discount cannot be combined with any other offer. Rate extends to family members and sponsored guests accompanying authorized users. Can be applied to up to three rooms for a maximum of 14 days. Must be booked in advance by emailing our Vacation Planning Center with the booking code “Survivor Support Package”.

Special offers cannot be combined and do not apply to Dog Friendly rooms or Cabins.

Survivor Family Package Eligibility :

The Survivors' Family Program extends to Family Members and sponsored guests accompanying authorized users. Eligible users are defined as Family members who have suffered a loss of a sponsor in the event of an Active Duty death regardless of the cause (combat, accident, suicide, illness, etc.) and also may be uniformed personnel. A military identification card with "AD" in the Sponsor Service/Status field in combination with "DB" (DOD Beneficiary of "Unremarried Widow" in the Relationship field on identification cards or a DD1300 must be presented at check-in confirming eligibility for the Survivor Families of all Services based on appropriate identification. 

The Survivors Discount Program provides a 50 percent discount from normal room rates by applicable rate category. The discount applies to additional occupants and up to three guest rooms. In order for the Survivors Family discount to be extended, the Survivors' Family Member must make and confirm reservations and be listed as the primary occupant.

Stays under the Survivor Family Program are limited to a maximum 14 nights in duration. Discounts are applicable on guest room(s) only and may be limited to certain Armed Forces Recreation Centers and time periods at the discretion of the General Manager. Discounts will not be extended to food, alcoholic beverages, tours, tickets and other recreational activities or retail sales. Discount cannot be combined with any other offer.

Gold Star Families Package Eligibility : 

The Survivors' Family Program extends to Gold Star Family Members and sponsored guests accompanying authorized users.   Eligible users are defined as Family members who have suffered a loss of a Family member in the event of an Active Duty death regardless of the cause (combat, accident, suicide, illness, etc.). A DD1300 or a DD2064 must be presented at check-in confirming eligibility for the Gold Star Families of all Services based on appropriate identification.

Gold Star Family members from other branches of military service (e.g., Air Force, Navy, Marine , Coast Guard) can apply and receive the Gold Star Installation Access Card.  For more information on obtaining a DA Form 1602, contact your local support coordinator or call (855) 707-2769 Monday – Friday (8am – 5pm) CST.

Accepted Documents : The following documents will be acceptable proof of one’s status as a military Survivor for purposes of utilizing the Armed Forces Recreation Center (AFRC) resort hotels.

Edelweiss Lodge and Resort authorized patrons include the following personnel (subject to stipulations on the RESERVATION ELIGIBILITY PAGE). Active-duty military members in EUCOM, military retirees (click here for details), military reservists in EUCOM, national guardsmen in EUCOM, current Department of Defense civilian employees assigned to EUCOM, foreign military currently on orders assigned to a U.S. military installation and the family members of authorized patrons. NATO military members with a USAREUR installation pass and AE FORM 600-700 are eligible to stay at the Edelweiss Resort.

Edelweiss Lodge and Resort patronage is governed by Department of Defense Instruction 1015.10 (Programs for Military Morale, Welfare, and Recreation). A room reserved with multiple sponsors should be reserved based on the highest ranking sponsor. Guests with both retired and civilian status living in Europe, must reserve based on the civilian rank. Room rates may change upon check-in based on sponsors rank.
