In the event of inclement weather the tour will visit the salt mine. After your visit you’ll stop in the picturesque town of Berchtesgaden for authentic cuisine and local shopping.

TOUR DESCRIPTION
This is an Edelweiss Lodge & Resort guided tour. You will be given descriptive information and folklore about the local area and the
different villages you pass along the route. You will be bussed around the Obersalzberg area while receiving the history of the Eagle’s Nest and the interesting Eagle’s Nest road. You will then switch busses to begin the ascent to the Eagle’s Nest. Please note the Eagle’s Nest is not a
museum - although photographs are displayed, its primary function is to serve as a restaurant and panoramic viewing site. After our tour, we will visit the town of Berchtesgaden for lunch and shopping.

07:00 - Depart Edelweiss Lodge & Resort
08:30 - Stop in Irschenberg for coffee/snacks
10:30 - Arrive at Berchtesgaden Eagle’s Nest
13:30 - Depart from Berchtesgaden Eagle’s Nest
14:00 - Lunch and Free time in Berchtesgaden (lunch not included)
20:00 - Arrive at Edelweiss Lodge and Resort
RECOMMENDATIONS
• Wear comfortable walking shoes and weather appropriate clothing
• You will need Euro for lunch and shopping
PLEASE NOTE
• If you are prone to car sickness be prepared for the curving roads and high elevations.
• In inclement weather the patrons of the tour will visit the salt mine.
• If the elevator to the Eagle’s Nest is out of order, it is a 30-minute uphill hike.
• Not recommended for small children due to the amount of time required for travel.

These factors are beyond Edelweiss Lodge and Resort’s control.
A minimum of 15 paid guests must be signed up for the tour by 12:00 the day prior to the tour in order for the tour to run.
